The Tobique Gaming Commission (TGC) granted SOFTSWISS an international license for organizations operating in the iGaming sector.

SOFTSWISS Receives Tobique iGaming License

The team at SOFTSWISS, a leading software provider for the iGaming industry, got a one-year B2B Tobique Gaming license.

The Tobique Gaming Commission (TGC) issued the permit with the assistance of Differentia Licensing Advisory Group Limited (DLAG), which acts as a legal intermediary for licensing in the region. Specifically, DLAG conducted the review and compliance of SOFTSWISS processes within:

  • credit and debit card processing;
  • alternative payment methods, including cryptocurrencies;
  • compliance with bank settlement services;
  • payment options to players.

The Tobique First Nation is an indigenous community in Canada located on the Tobique reserve in western New Brunswick. The local community has its history, culture, traditions, and governmental organization. In 2023, the Gaming Act was passed on the reserve, which created the TGC to issue licenses for online gaming providers.

The B2B Tobique Gaming license allows iGaming companies offering online casinos, sports betting, or lottery services to conduct international operations in the region using trust and digital assets. According to Yuri Sharapa, Head of Country Projects at SOFTSWISS, the TGC license will enhance the opportunities offered to the company’s partners. Graham Martin, Chairman of DLAG, also highlighted that SOFTSWISS was the first company to be awarded the B2B Tobique Gaming license due to its commitment to high-quality standards of service.

SOFTSWISS holds international licenses from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC), the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA), and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC). The company received official authorizations to operate in Nigeria, Estonia, Greece, Serbia, Ghana, and Romania and holds certificates of conformity from the regulatory bodies of Belgium, Latvia, Spain, Sweden, and Bulgaria.

SOFTSWISS recently acquired a controlling stake in Turfsport and obtained a license to operate in South Africa. Read about how the iGaming industry is developing and what segments it includes in a special article by CP Media.
