Fairshake has announced it will commit $12 million in advertising dollars to Ohio Senate hopeful Bernie Moreno (R-OH) in hopes of ousting current Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) ahead of the 2024 elections, the crypto super PAC revealed Tuesday.

In addition to the $12 million Ohio unseating, the crypto PAC will allocate $3 million each in Arizona and Michigan to support Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) and Rep. Elisa Slotkin (D-MI).
The multi-million dollar contributions will mainly go towards television advertising, though is scheduled to include “digital targeting focusing on crypto users and key voter segments driving turnout.”
“Our mission is clear — support candidates who embrace innovation, want to protect American jobs, and are committed to working across the aisle to get things done and oppose those who do not,” said Fairshake spokesperson Josh Vlasto.” We are proud of the progress we have seen toward the creation of a sustainable bi-partisan coalition and a consensus that there is an urgent need to pass responsible crypto and blockchain-focused regulation that advances innovation, protects American jobs, and roots out bad actors. We will continue to execute this strategy through November and into the future.”
Supporting Crypto Candidates In The 2024 Elections
Founded by several key players in the crypto industry last year, Fairshake supports “candidates committed to securing the United States as the home to innovators building the next generation of the internet” while pushing for “a clearer regulatory and legal framework” for the blockchain sector as a whole.
With over $200 million acquired ahead of the November 2024 elections, the crypto collective is the largest super PAC by total funds raised.
News of Fairshake’s latest contributions come just a little over a week since it announced a $25 million television advertising campaign for over a dozen crypto-friendly House of Representative candidates.
The group has been successful so far in taking down anti-crypto political representatives, most recently running a $2 million advertising campaign against the now ousted Rep. Jamaal Bowman.
“Jamaal Bowman fought against setting clear rules for the crypto and blockchain industry, and tonight he’s looking for a new job,” Vlasto said in a statement at the time. “The crypto and blockchain community will continue to support candidates who believe in innovation and job creation and who reach across the aisle to get things done.”
Fairshake’s recent contributions offer a glimpse into their evolving strategy for advancing blockchain-friendly legislation. Looking ahead, the organization will continue to adapt its approach and target key races as the 2024 election cycle progresses.
