Binance Pay is rolling out crypto payment options at over 80 locations along the Côte d’Azur, including stores, restaurants, and hotels.

Binance Launches Crypto Payments on French Riviera

Binance Pay announced a partnership with French FinTech company Lyzi aimed at integrating crypto payments into the business processes of more than 80 luxury tourist establishments across Cannes, Nice, Antibes, and Monaco.

The initiative covers hotels, restaurants, luxury retail stores, and beach clubs on the French Riviera, one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations. Thanks to the partnership, tourists and locals will be able to pay for goods and services using stablecoins and other digital assets.

The first to gain access to the service are the JW Marriott and Hotel Gray d’Albion in Cannes, the Palais Stéphanie Beach club, the luxury Parker and Smith store in Monaco, as well as health & wellness businesses such as Palm Gym in Antibes. According to David Prinçay, CEO of Binance France, implementing crypto payments on the French Riviera demonstrates how digital assets are gradually becoming part of everyday life.

Previously, Max Krupyshev, CEO of CoinsPaid, stated that crypto is very convenient for travel, especially highlighting the ease of paying for accommodation in “exotic locations” using digital assets, which allow fast and low-risk transfers anywhere in the world.

As part of the partnership, Lyzi will use Binance Pay as the payment infrastructure, enabling all business users of the app to accept crypto payments. Lyzi will provide merchants with a ready-made technical solution for crypto acceptance, while Binance Pay handles conversion and settlements with over 100 crypto assets without transaction fees between Binance Pay users. Customers can make payments by scanning a QR code via the Lyzi app, after which the transaction is confirmed and debited from their crypto balance. Merchants, in turn, receive funds in euros instantly thanks to full payment system integration.

Lyzi currently connects around 440 merchants across France, with about 330 planning to expand internationally. In addition to the luxury segment, Lyzi’s partners include bakeries, pharmacies, beauty salons, car dealerships, and fast-food chains, which will be integrated into the initiative in later stages.

In 2024, over 11% of travel agencies accepted cryptocurrency payments, and in 2025 the volume of crypto payments in travel grew by 38%. Earlier, Binance Pay integrated with Pix, Brazil’s national payment system, and also helped Bhutan launch a unique crypto payment system for tourists.
