Bitwise has published its 2025 crypto predictions, projecting significant milestones for Bitcoin, tokenized assets, and regulatory developments.
According to the report, Bitwise predicts Bitcoin’s price will surpass $200,000 in 2025, and if the U.S. government proceeds with plans to establish a strategic reserve of 1 million Bitcoins, the price could exceed $500,000.

Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana Surging in 2025
Besides Bitcoin, Ethereum is projected to reach the $7,000 level while Solana would accelerate to $750.
As the market grows, Bitwise forecasts that Bitcoin ETFs will see increased investor interest, surpassing the record-breaking inflows of 2024. This surge is expected as regulatory clarity improves and institutional adoption accelerates.
The report anticipates a significant increase in sovereign adoption of Bitcoin, with the number of countries holding the crypto doubling from current levels.
“The fact that the U.S. is actively considering building a strategic bitcoin reserve will kick off an arms race around the world for governments to buy bitcoin before it’s too late,” the document reads.
Industry Leaders and Long-Term Projections
The report highlights that Coinbase’s stock is projected to exceed $700 per share, driven by strong crypto adoption and increasing market dominance. Bitwise also expects Coinbase to surpass Charles Schwab as the most valuable brokerage globally.
It also expects Coinbase to join the S&P 500 and MicroStrategy to enter the Nasdaq-100 in 2025.
The company predicts that at least five crypto unicorns will go public in the U.S. Based on the analysis, Circle, Figure, Kraken, Anchorage and Chainalysis are among the top candidates for IPO.
Regarding stablecoins, Bitwise projects its market will grow significantly in 2025, reaching $400 billion in assets. This expansion is linked to anticipated U.S. legislation providing clearer stablecoin regulatory frameworks.
As a bonus prediction looking into the next five years, Bitwise predicts that Bitcoin will surpass gold’s $18 trillion market cap by 2029, with the crypto trading above $1 million per coin.
