SOFTSWISS Strengthens Its Position in Latin America

Racing icon Rubens Barrichello was introduced as the new Non-Executive Director of SOFTSWISS, a leading provider of technical solutions for the iGaming industry. This was announced by the company in its blog. The racing driver will represent SOFTSWISS in Latin America, helping the company strengthen its ties with the local tech community and expand its presence in the region.

It’s noted that the staffing decision is a strategic one. It’s intended to reinforce SOFTSWISS’ position in Latin America, especially in the Brazilian market, which is seen as the most promising. The press release includes a forecast, citing data from TGM Research, according to which the gross revenue of the Brazilian iGaming industry could reach €2.3 billion by 2026.

Rubens Barrichello was officially introduced as the Non-Executive Director of SOFTSWISS during SiGMA Americas, the largest regional event dedicated to the iGaming industry, held in the Brazilian city of São Paulo.

During the press conference, Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, highlighted several important details:

  1. The company is awaiting the approval of the regulatory framework in order to fully cooperate with local operators and enterprises.
  2. Ensuring the security of SOFTSWISS technical solutions is the company’s top priority.
  3. SOFTSWISS software is thoroughly tested in international laboratories such as GLI and complies with key cybersecurity standards.

SOFTSWISS pursues an active policy of entering new markets. In January 2024, the company acquired a controlling stake in Turfsport, a leading provider of tech betting solutions in South Africa. In early April, the company obtained a B2B Tobique Gaming license. A week later, it reportedly purchased a large stake in the entity that operates Europe’s largest social casino SpinArena. Besides, it became known about SOFTSWISS’ interest in this area in general.
