The TON Foundation partnered with TADA, a leading taxi booking platform in Southeast Asia. The partnership unveils a Telegram mini app that allows residents of Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia to order a cab and pay for a ride with Toncoin (TON) or USDT on the TON network.
TON Foundation partnered with TADA, a popular ride-hailing platform in Southeast Asia, to create TADA mini, a mini app on Telegram that allows users to book a taxi and pay for their ride with cryptocurrencies.
According to James Young, CIO at MVL, TADA’s parent company, integrating with The Open Network will provide users with new payment options, including Toncoin and USDT on the TON blockchain. This partnership will also expand the use of digital assets in everyday life for Southeast Asians.
Founded in 2018, TADA operates in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia, with plans to launch its services in Hong Kong by the end of 2024.
The integration with the TON blockchain allows TADA customers to pay for services directly through Telegram, simplifying the process while also ensuring high speed and security of transactions. According to Harvey Kim, Head of Korea at the TON Foundation, the partnership aims to expand the use of cryptocurrencies and make crypto payments accessible to a wider audience.
The official launch of TADA mini took place in Singapore during TOKEN2049. To celebrate the launch, the company announced that from September 14 to 18, the first 4,000 users of the app in Singapore will receive free rides, along with a 50% discount on their next taxi booking via TADA mini.
Recently, TON was integrated as a payment option on the Web3 travel platform Travala.com. Moreover, residents of the Philippines started using the USDT stablecoin on The Open Network (TON) blockchain to make Social Security System (SSS) contributions.
