Kraken has a great offer for users in February. The crypto exchange has rolled out a new incentive program that offers a flat 3% match on new deposits.
The scale of the offer is notable; the match applies to deposits ranging from $1 to $1 million, with a potential maximum payout of $30,000 per user. The promotion applies to both cash and cryptocurrency brought onto the app.
For the user, the proposition is a straightforward play in a sector often cluttered with complex deals.
The Mechanics of the Match
The promotion runs through March 9th. Unlike tiered systems, where higher yields are reserved for VIPs or specific token holders, this 3% rate is flat. It kicks in at a minimum deposit of just $1. The ceiling is high, capping at $1,000,000 in Net Eligible Deposits (NED), translating to a maximum reward of $30,000.
February Deposit Match: Get a 3% match on new on-platform cash or crypto you deposit between February 2nd and March 9th.
Flat, simple value: One competitive match rate applies to everyone — 3% on all eligible deposits, up to $1,000,000 total throughout the month.
Flexible funding: You can deposit in one transaction or many — all eligible deposits during the promo period count.
The reward will be delivered in USDG in the U.S. (or USDC for Canadian users). The payout is scheduled to occur within 14 days of the promotion’s conclusion on March 9th.
The calculation for the reward is based on “Net Eligible Deposits.” Kraken calculates this by subtracting external withdrawals made during the promotion period from total external deposits.
This snapshot occurs at the end of the window. This prevents users from cycling the same funds in and out to artificially inflate their deposit numbers.
Using the App and Auto-Earn
Execution requires specific steps. This is a mobile-first campaign and is exclusive to the standard Kraken App; it does not apply to Kraken Pro. Users familiar with the advanced trading interface of Pro will need to switch to the standard consumer app to participate.
There is also a functional requirement attached: Auto-Earn. Users must have this feature enabled to qualify. If a user does not have Auto-Earn active when they opt in, the app will trigger a pop-up prompting them to turn it on.
Funding is flexible. Users do not need to move a lump sum to qualify, instead the structure allows for multiple transactions. A user can make one large transfer or trickle funds in over the weeks. As long as the net positive flow is recorded by the March 9th deadline, it counts toward the NED total.

In the crypto industry, trust is a commodity often in short supply. Kraken, founded in 2011, has a great record. It is one of the few exchanges from the early Bitcoin era that has avoided the insolvencies, hacks, and regulatory shutdowns that have claimed many of its contemporaries.
