As the long-running SEC vs. Ripple lawsuit comes to an end, it’s interesting to hear that pro-XRP attorney John Deaton has expressed such a prediction regarding the possibility of winning. He stated that Ripple had an outright win against the Securities and Exchange Commission. Also, the SEC has a less than 3% chance of defeating Ripple.
Recently, Ripple has grabbed much attention with its recent wins. As Deaton predicted, there was a 25% chance that U.S. District Judge Torres would completely rule in Ripple’s favor. Also, he said on the Good Morning Crypto podcast on June 3 that the blockchain company has a 50% chance to win the battle.
Further, Deaton emphasized that Judge Torres will probably issue a decision prior to September 30 of this year. Moreover, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse predicted an imminent end to the rollercoaster lawsuit from the SEC.
However, Ripple’s native cryptocurrency, XRP, attracted numerous investors’ attention with its significant price rally. The XRP price surged more than 13% in a week and 58% in the year to date.
